Based on customer feedback and comments, we have created a series of Frequently Asked Questions for each part of the hotel to help answer any questions you may have.

When can I check in?

Check in is available from 3pm onward on your day of arrival.

What time do I have to check out?

You must check out by 11am on the day of your departure.

Is there an option for late check out?

Yes, late check outs can be arranged subject to room availability. Please let us know if you require a late check out at time of booking or by speaking to Reception when you check in.

What is available on room service?

We have a delightful range of light meals and drinks that you can get delivered to your room until 9.30pm. After 9.30pm we offer a sandwich menu.

Where & when is breakfast served?

English or Continental breakfast is served from 6.30am – 9.30am Monday – Friday and 7.30am – 10.30am on Saturday – Sunday in the Brasserie. You can also have a Continental breakfast if you have an early start and need to leave the hotel before 6:30am

How do I book a room?

Simply click on the ‘Book on-line’ box in the top left-hand corner of this site or if you’d prefer you can ring us on 01603 759393 or email us at reservations@barnham-broom.co.uk.

What if I need to change my booking?

All you need to do is call us on 01603 759393 and let us know what you need to change, and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before you are due to arrive, otherwise a cancellation fee will be charged.

Do you offer free Wi-Fi?

Yes, you’ll just need to launch your internet browser and then sign up for the service on the registration page to enjoy free internet access in your room and the public areas of the hotel such as the lounge and bars.

What facilities are in the rooms?

You’ll find a hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe and a fridge. We also offer a laundry and dry-cleaning service, and our housekeeping team can provide an iron and ironing board, delivered to your room on request.

How do I book a spa treatment?

We recommend booking Spa treatments at the time of booking your room, to ensure that you get the time that suits you. However, you can call us on 01603 757545 at any time to book a treatment or two.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer two types of rates, each with its own cancellation policy:

  • Flexible Rate: You can cancel free of charge up until 12:00 PM the day before your arrival. Card details are taken to secure the booking, and payment is made on departure.
  • Advance Purchase or Promotional Rate: This rate requires full pre-payment at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable. Once booked, it cannot be changed or canceled.
Is there a safe luggage store if I am not leaving Barnham Broom after checking out?

Yes, we have a safe luggage store near reception for your luggage if you want to continue to use the hotel’s facilities after checking out. Please speak to Reception when you check out to arrange safe luggage storage.

How can I stay informed about your special offers?

Simply fill in our special offers form and we will make sure that you receive regular emailed updates on our latest offers.

What’s your parking like?

We have ample free parking both at the front and to the side of the hotel.

Are you closed for any time during the year?

No. We are open to residents and non-residents 365 days a year.

Do you serve breakfast?

Yes, we welcome both guests of the hotel and locals to join us for breakfast. Prices vary but can be found on the breakfast menu.

Where and when is breakfast served?

English / Continental breakfast is served from 6.30am – 9.30am Monday – Friday and 7.30am – 10.30am on Saturday – Sunday in the Brasserie. 

Where and when is lunch served?

Our mouth-watering lunch menu is on offer in the Sports Bar from 12 – 5pm every day. We also offer a beautiful Afternoon Tea in our Lounge area and Brasserie, from 12:30pm-3:30pm if you’d prefer something a little bit more special.

Where and when is dinner served?

Dinner reservations can be made at the Brasserie from 6 – 9pm. Alternatively you can eat in the Sports Bar from 9am – 9pm for a more casual offering.

Do you offer children’s menus?

Yes, we offer a children’s menu in the Sports Bar only. Please note, only over 16’s can dine in the Brasserie.

Do we cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, all of our menus cater for any requirement, speak to a member of staff.

Do I need to book a table?

Yes, we do advise you book for the Brasserie, speak to hotel reception on 01603 759393 or book on-line through our website. The Sports Bar doesn’t require a booking, except for larger parties over 8

What is the dress code for Barnham Broom?

We encourage a smart dress code in our dining rooms, reflecting the luxurious setting. Many guests choose to dress for celebrations, anniversaries, or special occasions, making every meal a memorable and elegant experience in the heart of Norfolk’s Countryside.

Are your restaurants or terrace dog friendly?

Unfortunately, the Brasserie and Sports Bar, alongside the whole resort, do not accommodate dogs.

When is Afternoon Tea served?

It is served in the lounge between 12:30 – 3:30pm. You are required to book in advance.

How long does Afternoon Tea last?

Generally, afternoon tea lasts between 1 hour and 30 minutes and 1 hour and 45 minutes.

What are the restaurant's opening hours?

Do you have outdoor seating?

Yes, we do! We have a beautiful terraced area outside our brasserie alongside an upstairs terrace off our Sports Bar.

How do I book afternoon tea?

Please book online or call our reception team on 01603 759393 to make a reservation for afternoon tea at the Brasserie Barnham Broom.

Do you have a private dining area?

Yes, we have two smaller rooms that can accommodate private dining, we can even allocate groups together in our Brasserie if prebooked.

Do you have gift vouchers for your restaurant?

Gift vouchers for the Brasserie can be purchased on our website and are valid for one year.

Do you cater for special occasions?

If you have a special occasion or are simply looking to add a few extra touches, then please feel free to inform us, and we will be delighted to make arrangements for you.

Can I visit Barnham Broom just for drinks?

Yes, you can join us in our valley bar or sports bar where we offer arrange on wines, spirits, beers, cocktails and aperitifs.

How do I book a spa treatment?

How do I know what spa treatment is best for me?

Our therapists are trained and highly qualified experts, so will talk to you before booking your treatment about what you are looking for and then recommend the most appropriate treatment.

Where in the hotel is the spa located?

The main spa treatment rooms are located near the main hotel reception. The Health & Fitness Club is complimentary (included) on most spa day packages, but please note this is a 5 minute walk through our lounge and bar area, you will be provided with a robe, towel and slippers that can be warn around the hotel.

Can I wear my robe around the hotel / for the afternoon tea?

Yes, with all spa packages and days, we provide complimentary (a) robe, slipper and towel hire, if you are on a package with afternoon tea included, you can wear these in the sports bar and brasserie lounge, or on the terrace on a sunny day.

If you are booked in solely for a treatment, note that robes are not included.

Do I need to be a hotel guest or member of the fitness club to use The Spa?

No. The Spa is open to everyone, so don’t hesitate to give us a call on 01603 757545.

Are robes and the use of the leisure centre included in my treatment cost?

No, but they are available to hire.

Do I need to pre-book any treatments?

Yes, we advise you to pre-book all treatments as The Spa cannot guarantee spaces available on the day.

What is the cancellation policy?

A 50% charge will be incurred for any treatment not cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice. include full cancellation policy here for Spa days also.

How early should I arrive for my treatment?

please arrive at The Spa 10 minutes before your treatment time.

How old do you have to be to have a spa treatment?

The minimum age requirement to have treatments in The Spa is 16 years of age. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate babies and young children in our Spa whilst parents/guardians are having treatments.

What do you do at a spa day?

At a spa day, you typically enjoy treatments like massages, facials, and body wraps (body treatments). You can also use facilities such as saunas, steam rooms, and pools (remove s as it seems like we have more than one) for a day of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Is a spa day worth it?

Yes, a spa day is worth it for stress relief, ultimate relaxation, and self-care. It offers physical and mental health benefits, including improved circulation, reduced muscle tension, and enhanced mood.

What does a woman (do I) wear to a spa day/treatment?

For a spa day, woman (you) typically wear comfortable clothing to arrive. Most spas (Spa dayss) provide robes, slippers, and towels. For treatments, you’ll usually (you can) change into disposable underwear or your own underwear. Bring swimwear if you plan to use pool facilities.

Do people go for spa days on their own?

Yes, many people enjoy solo spa days for personal relaxation and me-time. Spas cater to both individual guests and groups, offering a peaceful environment for self-care. And if a day doesn’t seem enough, treat yourself to a luxurious overnight stay on our lovely grounds.

Do you shower after a spa day?

It’s generally recommended to wait a few hours before showering after massages or body treatments to allow oils and products to absorb. However, you should rinse off after using saunas or pools.

If I have a particular medical condition or pregnant, can I have a treatment?

Yes you can still have the service, this may be required to be adapted. In some situations a GP letter will be required.

How to Get to Your Spa Day

What time do the golf courses open?

Both courses are open from 7.30am in the Summer months and in the Winter months, courses are open from 8am.

What are peak and off-peak hours?

We offer an off peak membership. During the winter months, tee times can be booked from 11am onwards and during the summer months, this reverts to from midday onwards

How do I book a lesson?

You can book a lesson via our golf shop with our resident PGA professional, for juniors we also have group lessons on a Saturday.

Can I share my golf membership?

Memberships cannot be shared or transferred; we do offer joint memberships for those living in the same household.

Do you have a dress code / code of etiquette?

We expect that you are able to play a round of golf, observing the necessary etiquette as follows:

To make sure everyone enjoys their time at Barnham Broom Golf Club, there is a dress code and a few rules that we ask to be observed.

Dress Code:

  • Approved, recognised golf clothing should be worn at all times on both courses.
  • No blue denim trousers, football/rugby shirts, sports shorts or tracksuits are permitted.
  • No trainers, only golf shoes to be worn on the golf courses.

Staff are authorised to approach members and visitors if the dress regulations are not being adhered to. 

Etiquette

In order to help everybody enjoy their game: –

  • Please repair your divots and pitch marks and rake bunkers. 
  • Each player must have their own clubs. 
  • Please keep up with the game in front and allow faster groups behind you through. 

Our course marshals have total authority over golf play. Please abide by their instructions.

How much are green fees?

Our green fee prices can be found online, booking direct guarantee’s you the best rate.

Can I book more than one tee time for a group?

Yes, please view our online booking timetable or alternatively call the Golf Shop on 01603 757517 and they can arrange this for you.

Do you cater for society days or large corporate golf days?

Yes, we do; please feel free to call on 01603 757510 to discuss your requirements.

Can I cancel my membership and restart it again?

Monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time after the initial 12 month period.. In the case of injury or illness, annual memberships can be paused if there is sufficient evidence.

Do you allow drones at Barnham Broom golf club?

Sometimes, we ask that you contact us directly before arrival to confirm its use, as areas / days or certain golfers will now allow these to be used. - All drones need to be registered with the FAA.

Are non-members able to play at Barnham Broom Golf Club?

We welcome everyone at Barnham Broom- whether its to play, learn or socialise!

Green Fee information can be found here for visitors or guests of members.

Do you have clubs and/or can I bring my own?

We have a limited number of golf clubs for rental. You can bring your own golf clubs and kit, storage for these is outside the golf shop. Anything left here is at the risk of the owner, not Barnham Broom.

Is there an age restriction for my child to use the facility?

No, we’re passionate about growing the game! However, to get the most out of their experience, we would recommend that the child is over the age of 3 and all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, We do not allow dogs on the golf courses or within the Barnham Broom Resort.

Do I need to be a hotel guest or a member to use The Edge Health & Fitness Club?

No. You can use our facilities if you have a membership, are a hotel guest or if you purchase a day pass from The Edge reception.

What are the opening times for the fitness club?

We are open 6.00am until 9.00pm Monday to Friday, and 7.00am to 7.00pm Saturday & Sundays.

Is there a charge for towels?

If you are joining us on a spa day or break, then towels will be provided for the duration of your stay. Edge members towels are £3.00

How much is a day pass, and what is included?

If you are staying at the hotel overnight, then you can add on a day pass to use all of our facilities ( Pool, Gym, Sauna, Steam, Bubble pool, Tennis & Squash Courts and classes) for the duration of your stay for £7.50 per person. Alternately if you wish to join us for the day, non-members pay £20, and a friend of a member £15.

You can upgrade and pay at the hotel or the edge reception.

Please note that classes fill up very quickly. If booking on the day, it is unlikely you will get a space, so if you wish to take a class, please call us first to check the availability.

Is there a contract to sign up?

Yes, if you pay monthly you are signing up to a 3month membership, there crafter it will be 1 month rolling. Joining on a annual membership your contract is 12months.

What is your joining fee?

Our joining fee is £49 this includes vouchers in your membership pack, locker band and sweat towel.

What length is your swimming pool?

The swimming pool is 11metres in length.

What temperature is your pool set to?

Our pool is heated and usually reaches a temperature of ~30°

What ability do you need to have to attend classes?

All classes are mixed ability. The instructor will discuss before class you ability and will support you throughout the class.

What are your children's swim times?

Our children's swim times differ at times of year; full information can be found in the Children’s Swim Time section on our website.

Do I get a discount around the hotel for having an active Edge membership?

15% discount on food and drink, and stays are available to Edge members, with our resort Clubcard. You must activate your card at the Edge registration as soon as you are a member to receive discounts.

How do I cancel my monthly membership?

To cancel your monthly membership please contact us via email or letter stating you full name and membership number giving a 4 week notice period.

Can I freeze my monthly membership?

Yes, if you have a medical issue to can medically suspend your membership until you are able to return.

Are all classes included in my membership?

All classes are included in membership

Is the Edge open on Bank Holidays?

Yes, bank holidays we are open 7am-7pm

What’s the biggest group you can cater for?

We can cater for up to 150 guests at any one event. We can actually accommodate up to 220 people at full capacity in the Barford suite, this is theatre style setup. Banqueting on rounds is up to 150 people.

What Facilities and Meeting Spaces Are Available?

Flexible, contemporary meeting spaces that can accommodate up to 1-220 people. Conference Host, full AV support including hiring of PA system, microphones, screens, projectors, and flipcharts.

What’s the minimum number of people I can book a room for?

We do not specify a minimum number of guests. We have a number of suites of different sizes to match to the number of guests in your group. However our day delegate rates are a minimum of 10 delegates. Sounds good

Do you have any corporate offers?

We offer corporate accommodation rates for qualifying accounts. Plus anyone with corporate membership can get 15% off meetings and events.

How do I book a room for a business meeting?

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, is it complimentary in all areas of the hotel.

Is there any payment you do not accept?

We do not accept Amex.

What Catering Options Are Offered?

Tea, coffee with accomplishments such as breakfast rolls, biscuits, cookies, pastries, cakes. Catering from deli sandwiches, finger buffets, 2 course conference lunch, hot fork buffets, BBQs or full banqueting events menu with a vast selection of starters, main courses and desserts.

Does the Venue Offer Overnight Packages?

Yes, we do 24-hour day delegate packages.

What Technology and Equipment Are Provided?

Can hire, TV screens for presentation (40 and 70 inch screens), flipcharts, portable screens ( 6ft and 10 foot screen), PA system, Lectern, handheld microphones

Where is Barnham Broom located?

Time spent travelling is time wasted. From Barnham Broom, your delegates get:

Can the Venue Support Hybrid or Virtual Events?

Yes, depending on the specification we may have to get an outside technician ( a recommended supplier) to offer this technician support, which will incur additional costs.

What’s the minimum number of people I can book a room for?

We do not specify a minimum number of guests. We have a number of suites of different sizes to match to the number of guests in your group.

How much notice do I need to give you to book an event?

We do not specify a minimum or maximum notice period to book an event. However, as our suites are very popular, we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred option.

Are you able to decorate the room for the event?

Yes, of course. And if you need any help our Events Coordinator will be on hand to assist. For more details please call 01603 757522.

Can you bring in your own catering?

All catering needs to be done onsite apart from celebration cakes.

Do you do room deals for people wanting to stay in the hotel on the night of an event?

We can offer a discounted rate on any stay to a guest attending an event held at Barnham Broom, this is subject to availability. Speak to your events coordinator for more details about preferential rates, which can be offered where possible.
