LOCAL RULES

Out of bounds is defined by the line between the course-side points at ground level of white stakes and fence posts. Practice holes when playing the 16th and 18th holes.

 

Ground Under Repair: Free relief must be taken from ground under repair defined by a white line. This does not include bunkers temporarily defined as GUR due to bad weather conditions where free relief MAY be taken.

 

Protection of young trees: the young trees identified by stakes are No Play Zones: if a player has any type of interference as defined in Rule 16.1 from such a tree designated as a no play zone, he or she must take relief under Rule 16.1f.

 

Fixed sprinkler heads: – relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 16.1. Ball in General Area: – the player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is on the line of play, and is either within two club-lengths of the putting green or within two club lengths of the ball.

 

Bridges are part of the penalty area Rule 17.1a. The ball may be played as it lie (Rule 17.1b) with no penalty or you may take penalty relief (Rule 17.1d).

 

Roads and Paths: all roads and paths on the course are treated as immovable obstructions which free relief is allowed under Rule 16.1.

 

Overhead cable (Hill 5th & 6th): if it is known or virtually certain that a player’s ball hit a power line during play, the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from where the previous stroke was made (Rule 14.6).

 

Tree Roots: if a player’s ball in the general area has interference from tree roots in the fairway or in the rough within two club-lengths of the fairway, free relief is available under Rule 16.1b.

 

Dropping Zones Hill Hole 5: If a ball is in the penalty area (river) the player has these relief options, each for one penalty stroke: take relief under Rule 17.1, or drop the original ball or another ball in the designated dropping zone.
