Q&A Session

1.

How old were you when you first started playing golf?

I was 11.

2.

What made you or inspired you to take up golf?

My brother got some golf clubs in 2019 and I thought ‘I want to do that too’ so I did! Also my dad played so we were brought up around golf even though it took 11 years for him to finally persuade me!

3.

What do you enjoy most about playing golf?

The social aspect is definitely my favourite part – meeting new people from all over and improving communication skills too. I also love golf to bring out my competitive side as well!

4.

What do you think is the best reason to play golf at Barnham Broom?

The fact that there are two great courses and brilliant practice facilities, I feel like Barnham Broom has everything I could possibly need to flourish as a golfer.

5.

Which course do you prefer – Pennink or Steel?

Pennink is my favourite as it is a challenging course with tight fairways and lots of hazards but looks beautiful and who doesn’t like a challenge?

6.

What is your favourite golf hole at Barnham Broom?

Has to be the 9th hole on the Pennink. It's a short par 5 for ladies but challenging; you have to get your drive right or you will end up in the trees. If not that, definitely the 18th hole of the Steel course.

7.

What clubs do you have in the bag?

I have Srixon woods (driver, 3w, 7w, hybrid), Titleist t150 irons (6i-48 degree), Vokey wedges (54 and 60 degree) and an Odyssey mallet putter.

8.

What is your favourite golf club in your bag?

Has to be either my driver or putter. I love out-driving the men and being able to attack par 5s. But also I love my putter as that’s where the money is made!

9.

What do you need to play your best golf?

Motivation. I need pressure (not too much) to encourage me to play better. If you aren’t playing for anything then it's just a bit boring!

10.

Who is your favourite professional golf player and why?

Nelly Korda. She is an amazing person on and off the golf course. She is calm and poised even when things don’t go her way.

11.

What is your best achievement in golf so far?

Getting to National Finals with the Norfolk Ladies First Team 2 years in a row, my hole in one, and breaking par for the first time!

12.

What is your ambition for your golf?

I don’t really have plans to go on tour or anything, I just want to see where the wind takes me. Not having a lot of pressure to make it on tour is good as I can go to university in the USA and just enjoy it, without having to think about doing amazingly well all the time in order to be able to go on tour. It’s such a hard thing to do nowadays as the level of golf is just rising and rising day by day. I do want to work in the golf industry though as golf has given me so much so I feel like I want to give back to it.
