How old were you when you first started playing golf?

I first started playing golf at around 4 years old but gave it up as I wanted to play other sports. I started playing again when I was eleven.

What made you or inspired you to take up golf?

My friend Louis Marling was into golf and I was not enjoying playing other sports as much so I took up golf again.

What do you enjoy most about playing golf?

I enjoy the social aspects of golf. It’s nice being able to talk to other people while you play and also having a laugh together.

What do you think is the best reason to play golf at Barnham Broom?

I think the best reason to play golf at Barnham Broom is the people. Since I joined everyone has been really nice and friendly.

Which course do you prefer – Pennink or Steel?

I think I prefer the Pennink due to the range of holes being more interesting and in my opinion, it is a harder course.

What is your favourite golf hole at Barnham Broom?

I know that my favourite hole is the 10th on the Pennink because every time I am on the tee box, there is a debate in my head about whether to try and get over the water! The green is also very sloping and it’s very hard to putt well on.

What clubs do you have in the bag?

I have a good range of clubs in my bag from an Odyssey blade putter, some SM6 Vokey wedges, Taylormade irons and a 3 hybrid and 4 hybrid from Taylormade too. There’s also a Cobra Darkspeed 3 wood and my driver which is a Callaway AI Smoke model.

What is your favourite golf club in your bag and why?

My favourite club is my 9 iron because it is easy to hit and it usually goes straight.

What do you need to play your best golf?

To play my best golf I need a warm-up at the range by myself to get in the headspace that produces my best golf.

Who is your favourite professional golf player and what makes them your choice?

My favourite professional golfer is probably Aaron Rai. He is a very nice guy, a great golfer and when I met him at the BMW PGA championship he stayed to sign all the juniors pin flags.

What is your best achievement in golf so far?

My best achievement in golf so far is either not losing a match in competitive matchplay so far or being chosen as Junior Golfer of the Year at Barnham Broom in 2025.

What is your ambition for your golf?

I would love to go to an American college on a golf sponsorship and potentially have a career based around golf. This is because I find it such an enjoyable sport and love having a sense of achievement after a good round.
